Sunday Service: Random Notes on college football

We Are! Mountaineers? Slow start for Steve Slaton, but he and Pat White must have activated Wonder Twin Powers at halftime to beat Marshall. Form of a cheetah, shape of an ice sled…Did you know that Michigan is 0-4 since Bo Schembechler died? Now they get to play 0-2 Notre Dame next week - no line in Vegas yet, but the Wolverines have to be favored, right? Will this game cause the delicate matter/anti-matter balance to implode?

Temple is so bad Buffalo put 28 on them in the first half. Easily the worst teams in the FBS are Temple, Eastern Michigan, FIU and Iowa State. Sam Bradford, ICON SMI

I think Sam Bradford of Oklahoma (right, ICON SMI) will be a top ten QB by the end of the year - 4 more TDs today, and that make Malcom Kelly a top wideout as well.

Middle Tennessee just scored again. If Louisville wants to play with the big boys, their defense has more growth ahead of them than Britney Spears. Kudos to Bill Curry on the WWL crew for properly undressing the Cardinal defense for their poor play.

How quiet were you Buckeye fans after the commanding 3-2 halftime lead over Akron? Thank goodness for the Wolverines and their struggles or their would be more focus on Mr. Sweater Vest.

Terry Grant is looking awfully good for Bama - the next Sherman Williams?

Good to see Michigan coming out strong…oops. Oregon spread offense is already making the Wolverine D look like every other in the Big Ten - easier to bust than Lindsay Lohan.BC defense might be the best D on the ACC - or anywhere else for that matter. I am sure LSU, TCU and VPI have something to say about that, but BC went undrafted in all my fantasy leagues.

Colt Brennan had the quietest 500 yard passing game ever - I hosted a luau to watch the game and we were chatting it up a lot as La Tech stayed tight with them for the entire game.
